Children up to 14 years stay at Hotel Zuiderduin at a reduced rate. The discount percentage depends on the room type:

  • Stay in a double room: 25% discount.
  • Stay in a 3- or 4-bed room: 50% discount.
Can I get home care at Hotel Zuiderduin?

Do you need care during your stay? It is possible to receive home care. We work closely with Thuiszorg Zorgcirkel - Egmond. Due to the potential limited availability of staff at home care organisations, we recommend contacting De Zorgcirkel Egmond prior to booking, to discuss your options.

FAQ - Parking at Hotel Zuiderduin

Can I park my car for free during my stay at Hotel Zuiderduin?

As a hotel guest of Hotel Zuiderduin, you can park for free on our parking deck or in the parking garage:

  • Times: Free parking is available from 12 noon on the day of arrival until 12 noon on the day of departure. 
    Please note:Outside these times, parking charges apply.
  • Availability: The hotel has 245 parking spaces for 370 rooms. Parking is therefore subject to availability.
  • Reservations: Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a parking space in advance. Providing your vehicle registration number in advance does not guarantee a parking space.
What can I do if the hotel car park at Hotel Zuiderduin is full?

If our car park is full, you can park your car in the streets surrounding Hotel Zuiderduin.

  • Paid on-street parking is available in the surrounding streets. You can pay at the parking meters.
  • The parking fee (in the streets) is €2.40 per hour, with a maximum of €14.40 per day.
Can I park my electric car in the underground car park at Hotel Zuiderduin?

Yes, you can park your electric vehicle in our underground car park or in our outdoor car park. The same parking conditions apply as for all other vehicles.

I am visiting Hotel Zuiderduin for dinner, swimming or bowling. Where can I park?

If you are visiting Hotel Zuiderduin for dinner, swimming or bowling and are not staying overnight, we kindly ask you to park outside the hotel grounds.

Paid on-street parking in Egmond aan Zee applies during the following periods:

  • 1 March to 1 November: Daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
  • 1 November to 1 March: Saturdays and Sundays only, from 10:00 to 19:00. On all other days during this period, on-street parking is free.

What are the check-in and check-out times at Hotel Zuiderduin?

At Hotel Zuiderduin you can check in and check out 24/7. Your room is available from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check out is possible until 10.30 am. Are you staying in the suite of Hotel Zuiderduin? Then you have until 12.00 to check out.

Is breakfast included at Hotel Zuiderduin?
Breakfast is included* during your stay at Hotel Zuiderduin. It is not possible to book a room without breakfast. You are welcome between 07.30 and 10.30 for breakfast at Restaurant Zuiderduin.

I have mobility restrictions. Is Hotel Zuiderduin suitable for me?

At Hotel Zuiderduin you will find wheelchair-accessible rooms with the necessary adaptations for a carefree stay.

Do you prefer to stay in a Appartment? Appartementen de Egmonden offers fully adapted and barrier-free apartments.

Can I bring my dog to Hotel Zuiderduin?

Yes, Hotel Zuiderduin has special rooms where dogs are welcome*. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, pud, bowling, sauna and swimming pool.

  

Before making a reservation, we kindly ask you to contact us first to check the availability of rooms that allow dogs. We would like to inform you that we allow a maximum of two dogs per room and that an additional charge of € 20,00* for one dog per night and € 25,00 for two dogs per night will be charged (assistance dogs excluded). Please take this into account when planning your stay.

  

* Pets other than dogs are not permitted in the hotel or apartment.

Is smoking allowed in the room?

No. The hotel is completely non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms, facilities, or public areas.

What are the opening hours of Hotel Zuiderduin's facilities?

    • Between 7.30am - 10.30am you are welcome in our restaurant for an extensive breakfast buffet;
    • Between 6am - 8pm hours, we provide a dinner buffet.
  • Brasserie: Open from 10:30 am – 9:00 pm
    • Lunch: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
    • Dinner: 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Pub: Opening hours via the reception.
  • Swimming pool: Open from 7am to 10pm.
  • Zenmoodz: Open from 10am to 10pm.
  • Saunas: Open from 11am to 10pm (subject to availability).
  • Bowling alley: Opening hours and reservations via the reception.
  • Squash court: Permanently closed.
  • Fitness: accessible from 7am with your hotel room pass.
  • Children's play paradise: accessible from 8 am with your hotel room pass.

During holidays and events or due to maintenance, our opening hours may vary. Any changes in opening hours can be found here.

How do I make a reservation and pay for the sauna at Hotel Zuiderduin?

Would you like to use the hotel's sauna during your stay? You can book your sauna visit at reception or at Zenmoodz. The fee for using the sauna will be automatically credited to your hotel account immediately after your reservation via your room number.

How can I access Hotel Zuiderduin swimming pool and wellness?

Hotel guests who only wish to use the swimming pool can access the facility via the stairs in the corridor. You will gain access to the swimming pool with your room pass, which will also allow you to open a locker.
Guests wishing to visit both the sauna and the swimming pool are requested to enter via Zenmoodz Beauty and Spa.

I received a payment link via WhatsApp or email. Is this trustworthy?

No, this is likely a scam (phishing). We never send payment links or requests for data verification via WhatsApp.

We only send payment links via email in the following cases:

  • When directly linked to a booking confirmation for a reservation made directly with us.
  • Following prior personal contact with us via phone or email.

  

What should I do if I receive a suspicious message regarding a booking made through an external website?
Did you book through a platform such as Booking.com or Expedia? If so, all communication and payments must go through the secure environment of that platform. We will never send you a separate email or WhatsApp message for this.

How do I recognise a fraudulent message?
  • The sender: Check the email address, the sender's name, and the country code of the phone number (+31).
  • The language: Look out for spelling mistakes, unusual phrasing, or unprofessional language.
  • The tone: We will never ask you for information or payments using an urgent, demanding, or threatening tone.
What should I do if I receive a suspicious message?
